The Master Cleanse Lemonade Diet

I'm going to do the Lemonade Diet starting tomorrow. I'm going to "ease in" for 3 days, do the Lemonade diet for 10 days, and then "ease out" for 3 days. Here is the information I've found on the diet... also known as The Master Cleanse. I am going to keep a journal on here of my experiences day to day.. how I feel, advice for people that are thinking about doing it, and maybe even post my weight and (hopeful) weight loss. GASP. I'm not sure how I feel about posting my weight on a blog, but what the heck. Only have the weight to lose.

This is the next step in impoving my life. This will help me detoxify my body and cleanse out my colon, start with losing a few extra pounds. After the detox, I am going to start working out again. I have a few things in mind and can't wait to get started!!

“Ease In” Diet – 3 days
Day 1: Living Food Diet. All fresh fruits and veggies.

Day 2: Juicing, Blending, Broth, and Soups
To make Vegitable broth:
Dice 3-4 peeled potatoes of any variety
Dice one small onion
Thinly slice 3-4 stalks of fresh grown celery
Thinly slice 1 or 2 fresh grown carrots
Chop a large handful of grown greens such as kale or chard
Place in 3 quarts of pure clean/distilled water and simmer for 20 minutes.
Strain liquids and discard vegitables.

Day 3: Orange Juice. Juice 2 Liters of fresh juice and add water to taste.

The Lemonade Diet – 10 days long

Start the day with a Salt Water Cleanse.
2 tsp – 1 tbsp of sea salt
Mix with 1 liter of water
Can add lemon juice to taste
Will have bowel movement within 30 minutes

Lemonade Juice:
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp rich maple syrup (the darker, the better)
1/10 tsp cayenne pepper
8 oz of water

Drink 6 to 12 glasses a day.
8 glasses = 944 Calories a day

End the day with a herbal or green tea

Carry 1 liter of water with you
Can cheat by drinking non-caffeinated herbal teas

“Ease out” Diet – VERY important to do – 3 days
Day 1: Orange Juice
Day 2: Juicing, Blending, Broth, and Soup
Day 3: Living Food Diet

Tips:
Use fresh lemons. Buy 50 at a time and keep 10 out of the fridge at a time. Use non-iodized salt. If you don’t like the salt water cleanse, you can use laxatives, same difference. Living food diet works best when eating 60/40 veggies to fruits.

WISH ME LUCK!! Day 1 is tomorrow. I hope the boyfriend is on board with my goal or else it's going to be difficult to complete with all the tempting foods!!

Letter to my daughter

I wrote this to my daughter right after she turned 2. Hopefully she will read it when she's older and see how much she means to me(like she doesn't already know).. and maybe learn from my words of wisdom.. :)

You are only 2 years old my love bug,
you talk about Elmo and princesses now, but
not too long from now you will start school,
make friends, have sleepovers,
have boyfriends, have your heart broken,
fight with friends,
have the most amazing experiences,
but also the most miserable.

The advice I give you today is that good friends
will always stick around.
Boys will come and go.
Never let yourself stay in an abusive, disrespectful relationship.
Things will never change and
you will be better without them in the end.

I hope you can learn from my experiences,
but I know you need to experience your own and live your life.
Live it to the fullest.
Done have regrets, and
Don't give up on someone that makes you smile.
Those people are hard to come by.

I will stand by you always and
support whatever decisions you make in your life.
You are my one true love, my love bug, my little monkey, my life.

I will love you always and forever.

...My Life Resolution...

Tomorrow is the first day of February! Does any one have any resolutions they've made this year?
I've decided that mine is to be in control of my life.

This post is similar to last nights.. I wrote this on facebook and I wanted to share it here..

I've had my ups and downs, made mistakes and learned from them. I've lost friends and made new ones. I've struggled and overcome it. But what matters most is that I am in control of my life now and I love it.

I don't claim to have a perfect life, but I know what I need to do to make it perfect for me. I have gone back to school, been given new opportunities, kicked so-called friends out of my life, but also held the ones that matter most close to my heart.

This past year, I have had so much support from my family and friends, I'm sure I could have done it without them, but they made the fight worthwhile. They had faith in me when I didn't have it in my self. So I want to thank you. Thank you for helping me through my rough patch. I will make a better life for myself and I will not look back to that person in the past.

For the first time in my life. I feel like I am whole. Like this is the path I'm supposed to be on. I know that I may have bumps along the road.. But now I have faith in myself and I can do this. I can live a happy life.

That is my LIFE resolution. What is yours?

The First

There must always be a first. One that is a little uncomfortable.. trying to feel out your place in the blogging world.

Lets make this painless.

I want The Make-Over to include whatever means necessary to make you happy... I think the first step is realizing that you control your own life.

A little about me.... The first thing I did was started purging people out of my life that were not, for lack of better words, helpful or productive to me. Person #1: My daughters dad. This purge happened almost 3 years ago to the day. I had a relapse about 6 months into it, but quickly learned my lesson. We are now to the point where we can be civil to each other, but getting him out of my life was the first step I needed to do to be happy. The next step was getting rid of friends that used me and took advantage of me. That was hard. I was so used to having others depend on me and ask for help. I loved providing that help... but didn't like not getting anything in return. I felt used.

The most important thing that I learned from this step in my life (looking back at it now) is that I ACTUALLY control my life!! I was always run by people that took advantage of my sincerity, friendship, and love for others.. or by a boy that thought my place in life was waiting on him hand and foot. Not anymore. I'm Free!

Its so freeing just saying it.

I control my life.
I control my life.
I CONTROL MY LIFE.

I have realized that I may have a Bachelors degree, but it doesn't mean I have to use it. I can do as many odd jobs as I need to take care of my family and support them the way I need to. Right now my daughter is 2. She needs me (and honestly, I need her). I am so happy working 2 part time jobs and be able to stay home with her and raise her 99% of the time.

I have reunited with my high school sweetheart and it is so surreal. I feel like he's the last piece to my puzzle. He's my other half and the person that completes me. He is my polar opposite and I love it. I can't believe I didn't have him in my life for the past 8 years.. I know why my life was such a mess then.

I just turned 27 a week ago, and I feel that a light bulb finally went off in my head. I can be happy. I can love. I can live my life how I want it.

Until next time..
